i thought i should inform all those who intend to go for the camping @ pulau ubin on the perils of staying outdoors. having spent ages as a rifleman (which entails going outfield), i'm sure i'm vastly more experienced in this field then any of the people who've pledged their attendance at this class outing.

so, many people assume that camping is fun. its just eating the shit that you cook, sleeping on cold hard muddy soil in wet clothes that emitt an unpleasant smell, and relieving yourself admist tall grass, into a crude hole thats been dug with pitiful tools. of course, thats all correct. but everyone seems to forget the menance that threatens every individual who insists on abandoning civilisation for a taste of life 2 millenia ago.

it is one which appears in nightmares, as the boogeyman of all campers. it haunts, coerces, intimidates, strikes fear into the hearts of all, young and old alike.

i present, the sandfly.

i thought i'd educate anyone interested. "the great outdoors" is a fucking myth. there is no "great" in outdoors.

Dear Larry,

since you must know, cute guy was a manly, athletic, well built young man with a penchant and aptitude for sports, which his tattoo scrawled body clearly testified to. though he possessed a small frame that was dwarved by many of his age (of 21), his fitness was at a level to be reckoned with, with the title of "company best PT" just one of the many under his belt.

however, despite the stalwart power that he wielded, he was a pacifist, allowing diplomacy to take its course in the event of conflict and disagreement. necessarily, cute guy was one of outstanding character, often winning praise from commanders and men alike, for both his actions and inactions. to be cuddled in his arms is a pleasure that i very much seek to experience, but shall forever be denied. i'm sorry, larry, but you, simply, do not compare.

hellozz... i am posting again cos i am quite free nowadays.. today was quite dulan.. am now working at swi hq.. which is the hq for specs and warrant officers.. then there is this admin officer.. who by the way is a civilian.. i shall not reveal his name for the sake of confidentiality.. warlan eh was supposed to collect money from him and ask him sign beside his name.. then he kept on refusing to pay.. knnb.. then he went on to argue about his logic that i shld be the one signing and not him..i mean obviously it shld be the one paying who shld sign to verify he has paid rite.. so that no one can accuse him of not paying up.. knn logic damn off man.. then was starting to be damn pissed.. cos he tok cok sing song for half an hour alr.. then i asked him to just sign the shit and give me the money so i could go back and do my work.. knn.. he went on to say that i shld be bending to his demands instead of the other way round.. becos there are times when ppl's schedule and work do not permit them to suit to other ppl's demands.. knnb.. chee bye.. he has no work at that moment and so much free time.. i don see why he cannot suit to my demands.. when all he has to do is to pay up and sign.. freaking hell.. but then i survived that ordeal and came to a conclusion that if there are plenty of ppl like that in the working world.. i would have to learn a lot to noe how to control them.. wahahah.. nvm only a lowly private.. so wtf... haha.. anyhow.. hope those gng to medicine have a great medicamp and time inthere.. am sure it will be damn freaking fun.. yup yup take care all yall..

Yup, I got my stuff in HK. My coat's about $180+... cheapest i could find! Yah, pretty difficult to find coats in singapore... Maybe you could get another pretty coat at Michigan! :) woooo, there'll be so much snow there... Hope it snows in london! :P despite the melted snow and dirt. I'm prepared!! >_<

My senior managed to save up enough money to go backpacking throughout europe on her Astar scholarship! And she studied at Imperial --> london. $.$ Haha so it isn't impossible! :)

Ahhh, if I were going Michigan too, then we'll be school mates. Again! lol.

Juz signed the deed today (read: signed 13yrs of my life away =P)...haiz...don't even want to think abt the 3.8 GPA i have to keep up. will be flying off on 23rd Aug...tt's a wed i think. hope i pass my driving test before tt >.< (Congrats Eunice!!!)

i have a transit at narita airport...and OMG bj!!! you're going to JAPAN!!! took me ages juz to find a flight that stops by the outskirts of tokyo for one hour. -feels jealous- must tell me where all the cheap stuff and good food are located so i can plan my backpacking trip ard jap when i save up enough money (crosses fingers n hopes that there will be enough money)

that's a really cool trenchcoat shenonn...how much did u get it for? u bought it in HK right? singapore seems to have a sad lack of pretty coats...and boots too. haha...

anw, for those ppl at e nus camp...have fun! tho the camp will be over by e time u read this =P

wow, congrats eunice!! the first licensed driver from 04s77. You can drive us around someday!! :D

ohhh that pink is good!! don't insult it k. lol. Not much winter clothing in hk now though. Doing a lot of irrelevant, summer sale sprees. :D And the trench coat isn't that warm, it's just one layer of material. Probably just enough for autumn? Haha, don't care. Been wanting to get one for fun. Can wear that during winter and sprint out of the hall straight to school. >_<

Nope! Didn't get leather high heeled boots yet. Heard it's cheaper to get them during the pre-xmas sales there itself. But I have waterproof goretex shoes! Looks a little like boots too. Need them cos of the rainy wet london weather, so I wouldn't have to go blow dry my shoes with a hair dryer everyday.

Yah!! Come visit me during your hols. :) Though i'll have exams in june. Or we could go tour Europe together in summer! Backpacking. Ah, seems so long away... hahh. Or you could all come 2 yrs later. Then I can be your tour guide! :D Haha. Hmm. But I have to come back to spore after 2nd year for attachments i think... See lah. :)

ahhhh pink TRENCH COAT? it's not the pink that's interesting; it's the trench coat! i want a trench coat. then i can look all detective-y and mysterious :). unfortunately, all i have is a blue puffy polyester winter jacket. :X shenonn: add those really really high, needle-pointed six inch stiletto boots and if / when i go visit you all next year during my sch hols, i shall borrow your boots! and trenchcoat! and never, never return them. of course, the sch hols'll be during the summer, so hm. a little hard to wear 'em then, yes?

in other news, i'm now waitressing at a biopolis cafe between 10.30 to 2.30 on most days so if you're near that area, pop in to see me. also, i've passed my driving test :) got 18 points; 20 is when you fail. when i got back from the route the tester started scolding me, and i went (meekly) yessir, yessir, yessir. then he gave me this really disgusted look and ticked 'pass' on the slip. so so thankful cos i'm so sure i could have failed terribly. ahaaa! now i have the licence.
to drive.
